Micale Garland, of Detroit, won the big prize when his Lucky For Life ticket matched the five white balls drawn on April 28: 16-19-20-33-40. He bought his winning ticket online at Michiganmilotteryconnect.horsewinners.net.

“I have been playing Lucky For Life for a few years and I always buy my tickets online,” said Garland. “When I saw the email from the Lottery about claiming a prize, I logged into my and thought I was being pranked when I saw my balance. It wasn’t until I called the Lottery and confirmed the prize with them that I believed I’d really won. It still feels like I’m living in a dream!”

Garland, 64, visited Lottery headquarters recently to claim his prize. He chose to receive his winnings as a one-time lump sum payment of $390,000, rather than annuity payments of $25,000 a year for 20 years or life, whichever is greater. With his winnings, he plans to take a trip and then save the remainder.

For just $2 per play, Lucky For Life gives Lottery players a chance to win prizes ranging from $3 to a lifetime of cash. To win the game’s top prize of $1,000 a day for life, players must match all five winning numbers ranging from 1 to 48, plus one Lucky Ball ranging from 1 to 18. Players who match all five winning numbers, but not the Lucky Ball, will win $25,000 a year for life. Drawings take place at 10:38 p.m. seven days-a-week. Lapeer County Man Wins $300,000 Playing the Michigan Lottery’s 20X Wild Time Instant Game

Winning TicketA Lapeer County man thought his eyes were playing tricks on him when he won $300,000 playing the Michigan Lottery’s 20X Wild Time instant game.

“I always play the 20X Wild Time game because I like that I can scan the non-winning tickets for a second chance,” said the 58-year-old player, who chose to remain anonymous. “I bought a few of these tickets and scratched them late at night. When I saw I had won $300,000, I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me, so I handed it to my wife and asked her to scan it on the Lottery app.

“When $300,000 came up on the screen I jumped up and started shouting! Needless to say, I didn’t get much sleep that night. Winning is life-changing and will allow us to live debt free.”

The player bought his winning ticket at the Village Station, located at 4680 Water Street in Columbiaville. Columbiaville is about 25 miles northeast of Flint. He recently visited Lottery headquarters to claim his prize. With his winnings, he plans to take a trip and live debt free.

Van Buren County Man Wins $5.46 Million Lotto 47 Jackpot from the Michigan Lottery

Winning ticketA Van Buren County man ran out the door and down the street after finding out he was the winner of a $5.46 million Lotto 47 jackpot from the Michigan Lottery!

The lucky player matched the six Lotto 47 numbers drawn – 13-25-30-35-38-46 – in the April 23 drawing to win a $5.46 million jackpot. He bought the winning ticket at the Speedway gas station, located at 3908 South Westnedge Avenue in Kalamazoo.

“I play Lotto 47 every once in a while, and decided to buy a few tickets on a whim,” said the 43-year-old player, who chose to remain anonymous. “When I saw the jackpot was over $5 million, I told my family: ‘That money is going to be mine!’

“I checked the winning numbers online that night after the drawing and recognized them instantly. I had to recheck the numbers several times after seeing I matched them all because it was so surreal. Once I was sure I’d really won the jackpot, I ran out the door and down the street because I was so excited!

“My wife didn’t know what was going on, so my daughter said to her: ‘I think dad just won the Lottery!’ Winning a prize like this feels unreal and is still sinking in.”

Each Lotto 47 play is only $1. Players select six numbers from one to 47 for a chance to win a jackpot starting at $1 million and that grows until someone wins it.
